Earth Day April 22
Use the event to sell advertising to ecologically supportive businesses and organizations and to preserve and improve the ecological environment on our planet.
Earth Day April 22
Earth Day falls on April 22. Ever since the first Earth Day celebration in 1970, the message and efforts of groups, businesses and individual citizens to preserve and improve the ecological environment on our planet has grown worldwide. Use the event to sell advertising to ecologically supportive businesses and organizations.
Directions:
1) Coordinate an Earth Day promotion with local and national Earth Day events and activities. Sell a page or section devoted to sponsors responsible ecological citizenship, products and services that result in a cleaner, less energy-consumptive world.
2) Oil companies are especially sensitive to presenting a positive image on this subject, so they may be open to advertising featuring their local dealers as a group or individually, recycling centers, chemical and additive products that are ecologically sound, garden clubs, plant nurseries, cleaning products, wood finishing products and strippers, natural fiber clothing retailers, solar energy products, energy efficient appliances, civic organizations, parks, campgrounds, camping and garden clubs, etc.
3) Run adjacent articles about the event, any local efforts by Scouts, etc. to clean up local neighborhoods, streams, rivers, plant trees, flowers, etc. in order to improve our personal corner of the world. Civic efforts and use of recycled and replaceable products (i.e. soy ink) in your own business can be featured as well.
